Neymar nets brilliant solo goal for Brazil on return to the pitch

PSG superstar Neymar this afternoon made his return to the pitch for the first time in over 3 months during Brazil’s warm-up clash with Croatia, with the world’s most expensive player having gone on to find the net with a superb individual effort.

The two countries went head to head in a World Cup warm-up friendly at Anfield, with Brazil having eventually emerged with a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino.

And the former’s strike has since caused quite a buzz on social media, after the former Barcelona man took to the pitch for the first time since picking up a serious ankle injury back in February.

After picking the ball up on the left side of the Croatia box, Neymar cut inside onto his right foot, skipping past a pair of defenders with typical class, before unleashing an unstoppable drive past the helpless Danijel Subasic off the underside of the crossbar.
