Kenyan Premier League side Sony Sugar has pulled out of the Sportpesa Shield.
According to the club, they have withdrawn to focus on the league campaign where they are keen to avoid relegation.
A post by the club read: “BREAKING!:Important one to note ; We have officially withdrawn from the Sportpesa Shield Competition Focus fully shifts on the league to have a better finish”
Sony Sugar were to kick off their campaign with Rainforest FC. They are placed bottom on the league standings.
