The starting times for seven 2018 Iowa football games are set, including the first three games of the season. The Hawkeyes will begin the season at 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday, Sept. 1 at home against Northern Illinois on the Big Ten Network. Iowa then plays rival Iowa State at home at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on Fox. The next week, the Hawkeyes are again at home, this time at 6:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network vs. Northern Iowa.
Iowa also has start times for games at Minnesota (2:30 or 3 p.m.), at Indiana (11 a.m.), Maryland (11 a.m.) and Nebraska (11 a.m.).
Iowa is coming off an 8-5 season, in which the Hawkeyes finished 4-5 in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes upset Ohio State 55-24 during the season and later beat Boston College 27-20 in the Pinstripe Bowl.
The 2018 season will be the 20th for Kirk Ferentz as Iowa’s coach.
