After Zidane’s exit, Mohamed Salah makes his decision

The Egypt international was sensational under Jurgen Klopp this season, with the former Chelsea ace netting 44 goals in all competitions.

Salah, 25, has been tipped to quit Anfield – despite only joining the Reds last summer – in favor of a mammoth move to the Bernabeu.

However, according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Salah has decided to stay at Liverpool. They say the winger has no interest in heading to Real after Zinedine Zidane’s shock decision to leave the Bernabeu on Thursday. The Frenchman quit the Bernabeu after two-and-a-half years in Madrid, where he won the Champions League in three consecutive seasons.

Diari Gol say Salah has doubts about joining the Spanish giants following Zidane’s departure, with the Egypt star feeling there would be too much pressure to impress.

Salah was forced off during Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat last weekend with a shoulder injury after a clash with Real star Sergio Ramos. However, the forward should be fit for the World Cup in Russia later this month

Salah traveled to Spain this week to undergo treatment on his shoulder.”Mohamed Salah began his treatment programme on Sunday, when he confirmed in a telephone conversation with the technical and administrative staff of the team he was in high spirits and determined to return quickly to the ranks of the team,” the Egyptian Football Federation said in a statement on its website
