Chelsea eyes former Real Madrid boss

The Blues have allegedly put Zinedine Zidane on the club’s shortlist to replace head coach Antonio Conte. This comes a day after Zidane resigned as Real Madrid coach on Thursday.

It is now been rumoured that Chelsea will place their bid to have take over Conte.

While Conte still has a year remaining on his deal, the Italian is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming days with Maurizio Sarri and Laurent Blanc both being linked with the position in West London.

As it stands, an ‘informal’ approach has been suggested but Chelsea would likely move fast if there was a genuine possibility of attracting the 45-year-old to the Premier League.
