Tanzanian side awards players bags of cement after 2017/18 perfomance

Tanzanian Premier League side Singida United has rewarded its players with 50 bags of cement for having achieved their season’s targets.

Singida finished fifth in the 2017/18 season after 12 league wins, 10 draws and eight losses. The side scored 30 goals and conceded 17 goals.

The Club says the decision to reward them is to strengthen the relationship between players and management and ensure the players can sustain themselves.

“The Club leadership has decided to provide Cement bags for each player and club staff. This is to congratulate them as they have successfully succeeded in achieving the club’s goals for the 2017/2018, translate a statement by the club.
