Sterling Defends controversial Tattoo

Manchester city forward Raheem Sterling has defended the controversial M16 rifle tattoo on his leg saying it has a deeper meaning and is unfinished.

‘When I was 2, my father died from being gunned down to death I made a promise to myself I would never touch a gun in my life time, I shoot with my right foot so it has a deeper meaning N still unfinished.’ The striker posted on his instagram Page.

Anti-gun campaigners have criticized the Three Lions attacker saying that he should be a role model. Some have claimed the tattoo is ‘horrible’ and ‘disgusting’. There have also been calls for him to be dropped from Gareth Southgate’s squad.
