Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has wished Mohamed Salah a quick recovery from the shoulder injury that forced him out of the Champions League final on Saturday evening.
Contesting for the ball in the first half, Ramos and Salah locked arms and crashed to the floor. The weight of the Spaniard’s body and the awkward angle at which he landed caused what Jurgen Klopp described as ‘a really serious injury’.
As European football’s standout star for the season, critics were quick to accuse the defender of purposely causing Salah’s injury, but Ramos has done his best to dispel those rumors by sending a ‘get well soon’ message to his opponent.
