Italian club offered Karius soft landing

It will take some time for soccer lovers to forget Loris Karius. The Liverpool goalkeeper made schoolboy mistakes that cost his team dearly in the Champions League Final on Saturday.

Most people have had their say on the matter but it seems we are yet to hear the last of this because an Italian third tier club has offered him a chance to play for them.

Karius has been invited to spend the season at Rimini. The club president Giorgio Graasi posted an open invitation letter on their website.

‘I would like to host the German goalkeeper for a few days in Rimini, a welcoming town that has always been frequented by his fellow countrymen and women,’ reads part of the letter.

It is highly unlikely that Karius, who will turn 25 in June would end up at a club that is barely known outside Italy.
