Ghana beat Japan in a friendly

Ghana beat World Cup-bound Japan 2-0 in a friendly match staged at Yokahama Stadium on Wednesday 30 May afternoon.

Athletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng scored in each half for the win.

Partey scored the opener at the 9th minute with a fantastic free-kick after Tomoaki Makino foul on Emmanuel Boateng.

Ghana’s final goal came at the 51st minute after Emmanuel Boateng was hacked down by goalkeeper Eiji Kwashima in the penalty box – the UD Levante striker stepped up to convert the resulting penalty.
