Burnley, Bournemouth interested in signing Jay Rodriguez

Burnley  are now competing with top-flight foes Bournemouth  for the signature of their former striker Jay Rodriguez.

West Ham has also been reported to be targeting the 28-year-old  following West Bromwich Albion’s relegation from the Premier League.

Rodriguez enhanced his reputation somewhat by netting 11 times in all competitions for the Baggies, who collectively scored just 31 league goals in 2017-18.

According to Sky Sports News, Burnley are looking into re-signing the Englishman, six years after he left to join Southampton, while Bournemouth may also come forward with a bid.

West Brom will not sell Rodriguez on the cheap, however, and are confident of making a profit on the £12m paid to sign him from the Saints last summer.
