Manchester City have rejected the Napoli midfielder Jorginho’s bid of £39m.
Jorginho has been a key asset for the Serie A club this season and has been linked with moves to City, Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to reports, Napoli have rejected City’s opening bid after raising their asking price to £59m.
The report adds that City have prioritised the signing of the Italian international and want to conclude the deal before the World Cup commences.
The 26-year-old scored against Pep Guardiola’s side in last season’s Champions League.
