Christian Ronaldo could be renewing his contract with Real Madrid which calls for a higher income fpor him.
It has been reported that the footballer’s salary will increase to nearly £9m a year.
This comes after he allegedly hinted to be leaving the club after 9 years a move that shocked many after playing against Liverpool.
It has now emerged that the Portugal international was simply pressuring Madrid chiefs to speed up his contact renewal, which was promised to him by chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez last year.
The report suggests that the Spanish giants delayed finalising terms following Ronaldo’s slow start to 2017-18, but they are now happy to make a formal announcement on the deal, worth up to £29m a year.
