Right after the parade, when the celebrations shifted to the Santiago Bernabeu, fans were still behind Ronaldo.
The Portuguese, who once again finished as the top scorer in the Champions League with 15 goals, was given a hero’s welcome at the Bernabeu with fans chanting and singing “Cristiano please stay”.
Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer lifted the spirits of the fans by declaring “See you next year” and then went on to say, “I feel proud to play at the biggest club in the world. I’m very comfortable here. With these players it’s impossible not to win.”
