Liverpool FC took a big step towards the UEFA Champions League final with a 5-2 win over AS Roma in their semi-final first leg at Anfield on 24 April, 2018.
A pair of superbly taken goals from Salah gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead at halftime and Liverpool simply ripped Roma apart after the break.
A Sadio Mane goal and then two Roberto Firmino goals put Liverpool 5-0 up.
In the end, Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti scored one goal each and save the team from embarrassment. The big battle ended with Liverpool 5-2 Roma on board.
Two goals and two assists mean Mohamed Salah was the man of the match.
