Barcelona’s forward Lionel Messi has adviced his club to sign Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea did not qualify for next season’s Champions League hence leaving questions for the futures of some of their key players including Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.
According to Don Balon, Chelsea could potentially have to contend with offers for another of their most impressive performers with Messi said to want Alonso to make the switch to Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old has scored 14 goals with 81 appearances in all competitions.
That has seemingly caught the attention of Messi and it has been suggested that the Argentine attacker has called for the La Liga winners to make an approach for the left-sided player.
Alonso still has three years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
