Danny Jordaan re-elected South Africa football president

South African Football Association president Danny Jordaan was chosen unopposed for a moment five-year term on Saturday after previous official Ace Ngcobo pulled back from the vote. Jordaan, who has been battling rape affirmations going back 25 years, rejected allegations that the SAFA race was illicit after a court fight to defer it.

“This is a straightforward procedure before you,” Jordaan told neighborhood journalists. On Friday there was an endeavor to stop this decision. It was expelled by the court.

He got 234 of 246 votes at the gathering in Johannesburg, SAFA said. Jordaan, 66, was in charge of sorting out the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and furthermore sits on the Confederation of African Football’s official board of trustees.

He has denied claims by artist and previous official Jennifer Ferguson that he assaulted her in 1993.
