Luke Shaw was supposed to be one of the greatest full-backs in Europe. With injuries not helping the cause, the coming of Mourinho to Old Trafford has only added to his woes, whereas his dream remains just a dream.
Mourinho earlier claimed Shaw was “long behind” his United teammates in terms of focus and ambition. He slated him for the few minutes he played under several times after his substitute appearances in press conferences.
There are several players who received similar treatment as Shaw. Romelu Lukaku with whom the manager was just reunited is an example. At Chelsea, along with de Bruyne, both players decided to pack their bags and play elsewhere. Luke Shaw could surely look to follow the same suit.
