As Liverpool prepares to face Real Madrid this weekend , Cristiano Ronaldo has played down comparisons with Mo Salah.
According to Ronaldo, “People want to compare me with other players, I am different to everyone. Salah is different to everyone. So we are different.
He further added, “He plays with the left, I play with the right, I’m tall, he’s a little bit shorter. I play with my head, you know – we are completely different. But I have to say he has had a fantastic season, but Saturday, let’s see.”
Salah has smashed 44 goals for Liverpool this season – one more than his Real Madrid counterpart – fuelling talk of a potential summer switch to the Bernabeu for the Egyptian.
They are both battling for the Ballon d’Or, with German great Thomas Muller tipping Salah for the top prize.
Ronaldo is chasing a fifth Champions League trophy, which would make him the most successful player in the competition’s history.
