Coastal side SS Assad will host Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia at Mbaraki Sports Club on Sunday 27 May in the Sportpesa Shield opener.
The match was earlier set for June 3 but was rescheduled to Sunday 27 May to allow the side to participate in the Sportpesa Super Cup.
“we wish to inform you that we have moved to reschedule your Round One SportPesa Shield match and the match will now be played on Sunday 27th May 2018 at Mbaraki Sports Club as from 3pm, ” read a statement by FKF.
Gor Mahia will be without seven Harambee Stars players.
