Maurizio Sarri rejects Zenit St Petersburg offer

Former Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri  is reported to have rejected a big amount of money to become  head coach of Zenit St Petersburg.

The Italian coach, has turned down a contract worth £5.2m per year with the Russian outfit, he has also been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea.

According to reports Sarri is now a  free agent, since he left Napoli after guiding them to second place in Serie A last season.

Source have it that he turned down the offer to pave way for his move to Chelsea.

The 59-year-old, is believed to have been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli, has been rooted  as the most  eligible  to succeed Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, should Chelsea part ways with his compatriot this summer.
