AFC Leopards had written to the league managers Kenyan Premier League requesting to have their league derby against arch rivals Gor Mahia postponed but the response was not what they expected.
In the response, the KPL regrets that the notice was not within the stipulated period of seven day and fails to meet the criteria of postponing a match.
