How Roberto Carlos Got A Perfect Farewell Playing For Real Madrid


Popular for his powerful free kicks, including that incredible goal against France, Roberto Carlos is hugely regarded as an attacking-minded defender. Carlos entered Real Madrid in 1996 and became the first-choice left-back for the club.

Despite being a left-back, he often took part in the attacking build-ups and is quite famous for his inch-perfect cross’ and technical skills. He played 512 games for Real Madrid and scored 67 goals for them.  Damn brilliant, right?

He left Real Madrid after his contract expired in 2007 after scoring  three Champions League medals as well. He was given a deserving farewell as Real Madrid clinched the La Liga trophy on the final day of his departure.
