Why Mohamed Salah exit SHOULDN’T worry fans

The Egyptian is attracting attention from Europe’s biggest sides after his debut season at Anfield, most notably Champions League final opponents Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are expected to launch a bid for Salah in the coming months as they look to avenge their poor season in La Liga.

Liverpool fans will be hopeful of their star man staying on Merseyside.

However, Lawrenson believes the club shouldn’t be worried by Salah’s potential departure.

“The owners know that if someone comes in for one of their players with a fabulous offer, they won’t want the player to go, but if he does, they’ll give the money to the manager and say keep doing what you’re doing, because he’s going out and buying players and then he’s making them better, because that’s what he does,” he told bookmaker Paddy Power News.

“I don’t think there’s many players, maybe none, who he hasn’t worked with and improved.

“That’s the sign of a really good manager.”

Klopp’s management style has seen him improve a host of Liverpool stars since their arrival at the club.

And Lawrenson points towards the form of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as proof that the German’s methods work.

“Look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this season,” he continued.

“He’s been at a top club before, been an international, and Klopp’s thought he can improve him, so if Liverpool pay £30m for him, in the end, he could be worth double that.

“That signing was a no-brainer for Klopp because he knows he can make players better.”
