The Kenya Premier League has revealed that the much awaited Mashemeji Derby pitting AFC Leopards will go on as planned at Bukhungu Stadium.
According to the league organizers CEO Jack Oguda, the match will go on and a walkover will be awarded if a team skips the clash.
“The derby is still on and will be played on Saturday. AFC Leopards officials are already in Bukhungu to discuss security issues. The rules are very clear, any team that will not show up, will forfeit the match,” KPL CEO Jack Oguda is quoted by Goal.
Gor Mahia FC has raised concerned of the ability of Bukhungu stadium hosting the clash which is believed to be a high-risk match.
