FKF happy to get shield sponsor

Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa has expressed delight after Betting firm Sportpesa came on board to sponsor the Shield.

The tournament which kicks off in June was previous sponsored by pay TV GoTV who left after the expiry of their contract last season.

Mwenda said: “We thank SportPesa for agreeing to be the official title sponsors for this year’s FKF Shield tournament, which for commercial purposes will for the next three years be known as the SportPesa Shield.”

64 team will take part in the tournament. AFC Leopards are the defending champions.
