Captain Jamal Lascelles of Newcastle has indicated that his future is in the Newcastle United.This comes after a number of other clubs seemed to be interested in him.
When the team won promotion to the Premier League in 2016/17, many people believed they would struggle to stay up due to the lack of money spent on their squad.
Unfortunately Newcastle has a tendancy of losing top Premier League talents. However, Rafa Benitez was able to guide what is quite an average Newcastle side to a 10thplace finish in the Premier League,this was acttributed to the efforts of the club captain Jamal Lascelles, unfortunately he was not chosen for the World Cup this summer.
So, while Chelsea may be keen to add a bright young talent such as Lascelles to their ranks, it is unlikely the Newcastle defender will be heading off to Stamford Bridge anytime soon.
