AFC Leopards youngster hailed for improved performance

Wazito FC coach Frank Ouna and assistant Geoffrey Midenyo have showered praises on attacker Ibrahim Mao who has shown massive improvement ever since joining the side in January.

The 18-year-old was allowed to join the KPL newbies after failing to secure a first team place in the in his parent club AFC Leopards.

He has made six league appearances for Wazito all being off the bench and coach Ouna believes he is closing on his first start. He says the player has improved so much since joining the side and has been effected especially when he comes off the bench.

“But this was not the original design. He has been unlucky and away for an extended period with sickness.  So he is slowly building his fitness up to last 90 minutes.  Sooner rather than later he will be starting games,” Ouna to Wazito FC official portal.

Ouna assistant Midenyo said: He is improving after every game. He has good composure and balance as well as often eager to score. These are great qualities for a forward”

Mao is set to spend the whole of 2018 season with newbies if he is not recalled by Leopards in June.
