The much anticipated Kenyan derby pitting arch rivals Gor Mahia against ‘mashemeji’ AFC Leopards set for Saturday 26th May might not happen.
This is after the federation in partnership with their sponsors SportPesa announced the launch of a shield tournament featuring teams from Kenya and Tanzania.
The winner of the eight team tournament will travel to England to play Everton in June, with the kick off expected to start immediately thus affecting the mashemeji derby.
