The former Juventus midfielder wasted a glorious chance to equalise when he planted a free header wide of the target.
Mourinho blasted opposite number Antonio Conte’s negative tactics after the game, as United finished the season trophyless.
Pogba has not seen eye-to-eye with his boss this season, resulting in the midfielder being dropped and regularly substituted.
The club’s record-signing was asked specifically about his relationship with Mourinho, and was candid in his response.

“I had moments without playing but we do not have to go and eat with the coach at a restaurant,” the France international told Canal+.
“I’m responding on the pitch, giving my best. [Mourinho] has not changed. He is a bit crazy, always the same.
“He has won his titles, he is second in the league, he is Mourinho – he is the craziest between us.”
With Michael Carrick now retired, United’s captaincy looks set to be up for grabs next season.
Pogba has skippered the team a number of times during the campaign, previously describing the role as an ‘honour’.
“I think in leadership I have progressed with him [Mourinho],” he added.
“It’s important for me and it helps me grow to be leader for France.”
