Harambee Stars boss Sébastien Migné has revealed that dependable striker Michael Olunga requested to be excused from the upcoming to friendlies to honor club commitments.
The center-forward who is at Girona on a loan deal from Chinese club Guizhou Zhicheng has been named among the reserves and he is expected to link up with the National team before they travel to India for Hero’s International Cup.

“We had called Olunga but had to replace him when it became evident he would not make it for the two matches. We, however, expect him to be part of the squad that will travel to India for the Hero Intercontinental Cup scheduled to begin on June 1, 2018,” the coach said.
Olunga is expected to feature for Girona on Saturday 19 May as they face Las Palmas in the final fixture.
