PSG offer Gigi Buffon two-year deal with Real Madrid also keen on the legend

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have reportedly offered Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon a two year contract, but Real Madrid could hijack the swoop.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper is leaving Juventus after 17 years with the Serie A champions.

Gianluigi Buffon has reportedly been offered a two-year contract by PSG

After calling time on his international career following the Azzurri’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, many expected the stopper to hang up his gloves this summer.

The star revealed yesterday that he had received several “interesting proposals” as he considers whether to prolong his playing days.

Le Parisien claim that PSG, who have romped to the French Ligue 1 title, have already been in the contact with Buffon.

As SunSport reported on Thursday, Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City both want to bring him to England.

The Italian legend, who will leave Juve this summer, is also allegedly wanted by Real Madrid.

But the report in France also states that La Liga giants Madrid, who have been looking for a new goalkeeper for some time, would also welcome Buffon with open arms.

The goalie won almost every top honour in the game but agonisingly missed out on the Champions League.

Madrid, who will be vying for a fourth Euro success in five years next week against Liverpool, would be able to offer the veteran a huge opportunity to fulfil that ambition next season.

However, PSG are hoping the two-year deal will tempt him to uproot and head to Paris instead to help them with their own ambitions of conquering the continent.
