Gor Mahia rewarded following performance against Hull City

Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has honoured his earlier pledge of donating Ksh.s 300 000 to Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia.

Mutua earlier promised to offer kshs.500 000 if the Kenyan Giants beat Hull City in an international friendly match. After managing a draw in regulation time and losing on penalties at Kasarani on 13 May, the Governor pledged Kshs. 300000 which he has delivered.
Kept promise
“I have today kept my promise to Gor Mahia and handed 300k shillings to the team’s First Vice Chairman Hon. John Pesa for the team’s amazing performance against Hull City. Gor’s CEO Lordvick Aduda and my Minister for Sports Faith Wathome witnessed the event…” read Mutua’s tweet.
Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier has challenged other governors to join  Mutua and support the side as they chase Continental glory.
“The governor has promised to spearhead fundraising to help the club get more funds to take care of Caf matches budget. I am calling on other governors and friends to stand with Gor Mahia in this very important year…” told Gor Mahia website.
