The Number Of People Who Died In Rain In Bomet Is Heartbreaking


31 people have died in Bomet due to the heavy rains since March, County disaster management officer Stanley Mutai said. Mutai said three of them were still missing and search was going at Nyangores and Itare rivers. Most of the dead are believed to have drowned in Kipsonoi, Nyangores,  and Chemosit Rivers while others in several small dams in the region.

Mutai also said that two were yet to be identified and were still lying at the Longisa referral hospital morgue. “So far we have received reports of 31 drowning cases and out of these, 27 are from Bomet while four are from the neighboring Kericho…we are yet to find the other three,” he noted.
