A 16-year-old boy from Kevote, Embu County has confessed to selling bhang to fund education. Johnstone Murimi Munene, a Standard Eight drop-out, said he waned to use money from selling bhaang to pursue a welding course at a nearby polytechnic.
Munene was brought to court to answer to charges of drug trafficking. He told the court that the drugs were given by his uncle. The judge ordered the Officer Commanding Police Station in Manyatta to use Munene’s confession in court to arrest his uncle. He said that the boy will be the prime witness in the case.
