Kenyan government maintains stand on Miguna as he ‘threatens’ return

The Immigration Department will not allow deported lawyer, Miguna Miguna into the country on Wednesday 16th May as confirmed by Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa.

Kihalangwa says, while responding to letter from Human Rights commission, that Miguna is yet to apply for a fresh Kenyan passport through the right channels.

“Without any prejudice, we reiterate that Miguna has to regain his Kenyan citizenship before being issued with a Kenyan passport,” the letter dated 10 May reads in part.

There was drama at the JKIA when he first attempted to enter the country when he refused to be deported with the first attempt aborting before he was eventually deported to Dubai.
