The Government through the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has cautioned Kenyans on baffling telephone calls when after getting, wipes away all the stacked broadcast appointment from their handsets.
CA uncovered that they had affirmed new reports through the National Kenya Computer Incident Response Team Coordination Center of the universal telephone trick known as Wangiri which was first announced in January this year.
As per the administration, casualties of the trick get extremely short or missed telephone calls from obscure worldwide numbers.
The plan is intended to bait telephone clients into restoring the “critical” worldwide calls, whereupon they are accidentally diverted to premium numbers that deplete their broadcast appointment.
The scammers purchase the phone numbers used in the scam from the Dark Web, which is a hidden part of the internet, known for buying and selling illegal goods and services.
