In his final game as an A-League referee, Jarred Gillet wore a mic to afford fans a window into what it’s like to officiate a typical league game.

Fairly interesting, though we don’t think the on-field chat would have been quite so respectful had the players not known Gillett was wearing a wire. Not a single swarmed official in sight.
Still, we’d love to see the same thing attempted again in the modern-day Premier League, with Mike Dean the clear and obvious candidate of choice.
