A middle-aged man from Segut in Elburgon in Nakuru County was killed by an irate mob Thursday night after he murdered his love rival, whom he met inside the house of a woman they shared.
Elburgon Assistant County Commissioner, Naftali Korir, said the man, who was lynched by the residents, had hit his rival on the head with a blunt object, killing him on the spot. Both men, aged between 35 and 40, were boyfriends of the lady aged below 30.
Their bodies were moved to the Elburgon Sub-County Hospital mortuary.
The woman at the centre of the love triangle has since returned to her parents’ home in Nakuru.
