In a television interview, Wiper  leader Kalonzo Musyoka  expressed his views about president Uhuru Kenyatta after his term expires in 2022. He reiterated the fact the president Uhuru Kenyatta was a unifying figure in the country.

He clarified that  he was not supporting Uhuru’s  pursuit for a third term as president, but rather suggesting that he be appointed as prime minster should the Jubilee Party win majority of the seats in parliament.

“I meant that, post 2022, we have to envision a situation where we will attempt to have a government of national unity. In that situation, I do not see how one can write away Uhuru Kenyatta.”

“If Jubilee wins or emerges as the party with majority seats in Parliament, whoever will be president will have to appoint him (Uhuru) as Prime Minister,” Kalonzo told Citizen TV‘s Hussein Mohammed.

The Wiper leader said that he was admiring what president Uhuru has done, judging by his track record.
