Jose Mourinho’s managerial career hasn’t exactly gone to plan in the last three years.
After lifting the Premier League title on his return to Chelsea in 2014/15, everything seems to have gone wrong for the ‘Special One’.
The Blues sacked Mourinho in December 2015 following a disastrous run of results.
Manchester United then brought Mourinho in during the summer of 2016, but his time at Old Trafford will not be remembered fondly.
He won the Europa League and Carabao Cup in 2016/17 and even finished second in the Premier League in 2017/18, but there were so many negatives along the way.
Mourinho’s defensive tactics and public clashes with players during his reign finally culminated in his demise just before the festive period this year.
United opted to sack the Portuguese after a dismal 3-1 loss away at Liverpool and have looked a different side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, despite his failings with the Red Devils, Mourinho is still in contention for arguably the biggest job in world football as manager of Real Madrid.
Mourinho took charge of Los Blancos back in 2010, before leaving by ‘mutual agreement’ at the end of the 2012/13 season.
Florentino Perez is still a known fan of the 55-year-old and Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar has reported that the two have already been in contact.
And Aguilar states that Mourinho has already issued his two demands to become the new Real Madrid boss.

The tweet translated reads: “Jose Mourinho, who has rejected Benfica, has told Florentino Perez that if it is for him, he has no problem in taking over team now. Yes, he asks for reinforcements, especially in central defence and a striker.”
Given Real’s struggles in 2018/19 under both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari, Mourinho’s demands are to be expected.
Los Blancos seem to be conceding the first goal in virtually every game at the moment and are incapable of taking their own chances.
Karim Benzema can’t be expected to do it all on his own and without Cristiano Ronaldo, Real’s attack looks a pale shadow of what it once was.
