The country right now is calm after the handshake. But the National Resistance Movement General Miguna Miguna will be knocking at the JKIA doors anytime from now. Will it be dramatic as it was the last time he was deported?
The landmark ruling considering his nationality and the deportation saga was heard on Friday under Justice Chacha Mwita of the High Court.
Miguna was represented by country top brains who include Lawyer Khaminwa, Kamande Mucheke and Lawyer Nelson Havi.
According to Justice Chacha Mwita’s ruling, Miguna’s passport should be handed back as it was confiscated illegally.
Justice Chacha Mwita has restated what I've maintained throughout: That the despots violated my fundamental rights, freedom and dignity and that I'm a Kenyan and never lost my citizenship. Thanks Dr. Khaminwa, @waikwawanyoike, @kamandamucheke, @NelsonHavi and other lawyers.

But the state has suffered a major blow to what was considered as landmark ruling to Miguna’s supporters.
Justice Chacha Mwita on Friday ordered that Miguna is paid Sh7 million for his continued violation since he is still in Canada.
Mwita further ruled that actions by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and the other state officials amounted to an abuse of office.
The judge said that taxpayers should not shoulder costs of violations by overzealous state officers.
In order to deter future violations, the court ruled, Matiangi and Immigration Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa should personally pay damages and costs.
Miguna has also been awarded a further Sh207,000 for damages to his house.
Do you support Miguna’s return?
