Nairobbery: Man traces thug to reclaim stolen phone

Theft in Nairobi has become the daily bread and you will be lucky if you leave town with all your belongings.

It gets crazy and the thieves have no specific hour but rob off Kenyans even in broad day light.

A man online has revealed how he traced a thug to reclaim a phone. Quite  interesting considering that most of us would be afraid to take this approach.

Last year, I lost my phone around archives after a thief slid into my bag and took it without my notice. On checking into my bag minutes later,  my phone was missing.

In the busy streets when this happens, you simply keep walking as if nothing happened. Simply because the efforts to even identify who stole it will be fruitless and an equal waste of time.

A man by the name Thomas witnessed a thug grabbing away  a phone from a moving Nissan along Gaebrone Rd Nairobi~CBD.

Thomas says that with the help of his friend, they managed to trace the man(thug) and reclaimed it back.

Pretty suspicious on what triggered them to follow up on this unless the victim was a person they know.

Funny enough Thomas has no idea who the victim is and had taken to social media to plead with Kenyans to help him find out the owner of the phone so that he may give it back.

A generous act perhaps and he later revealed that he had communicated with the victim’s mom and had organized to give the phone.

Kenyans were moved by his actions and equally shocked that the ‘good Samaritan’ souls are still existent.
