Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Olympique Lyon and France striker Moussa Dembele with the view of bringing him to Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
The former Fulham and Celtic FC striker was linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer but a move failed to materialize as his club insisted that he was not for sale at whatever price and United’s hopes of replacing Romelu Lukaku were dented.
The Lyon number 9 has started the 2019/20 strongly despite his team’s struggle in the league and has scored six goals in six matches without a win in all competitions and he is once again being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
According to French outlets, United hierarchy is keen on signing the 23-year old striker in January as they look to bolster their attack that was heavily affected by Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez’s departures to Inter Milan. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are both injured leaving United with 17-year old Mason Greenwood as the only available fit striker.
United were linked with a host of strikers in the summer but they failed to sign leaving coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a small pull of forwards available and the team is struggling to score goals this campaign.
The Red Devils will host Arsenal on Monday night and they will be looking to down their nemesis and move up the log in the process.
