France coach Deschamps expresses worry over Pogba’s dwindling form despite national duty call

France national football team boss, Didier Deschamp has expressed fear over his World Cup winner and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as his troubles at the club continue piling even after the end of the Premier League season.

The France boss says he is ready to help Manchester United’s Paul Pogba weigh up a potential move to Real Madrid this summer after he named him in his France squad for their next two Euro 2020 qualifiers, the prolific player has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu with the manager, Zinedine Zidane, a French heavily pushing for his move.

The new Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer of the United midfielder, while the 26-year-old has previously said that joining Los Blancos would be ‘a dream’.

After an initial revival under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in December, after a 3-0 loss to Liverpool that saw Jose Mourinho axed,  Pogba’s form dropped towards the end of the season along with that of most of his team-mates as United failed to secure a Champions League place for next season.

But Deschamps is not concerned about the midfielder’s dip and as France prepare for a friendly against Bolivia, followed by Euro 2020 qualifiers against Turkey and Andorra next month, the head coach knows Pogba may look to him for advice over a potential switch this summer a thing the coach has vowed to help in.

The France coach said in quotes reported by an international media: “Drops in the form are not unique to Paul. If he asks me for advice (on Real Madrid) I will give it to him.”

Pogba was involved in an altercation with fans after their last match of the season against a relegated side of Cardiff which United lost 2-0 which many football pundits rebuked saying he aroused the fans anger by engaging them after a loss, his future t the club remains wide but the club’s management is not ready to let him go.

Despite the many challenges that Pogba is going through, Deschamps has shown faith in Pogba by calling him up for national duty despite axing some Premier League stars from his squad.
