Opposition outfit ODM has been in some sort of rebuilding spree after making numerous mistakes that saw it loose the Huge Support base it enjoyed some years back.
The Party recently unveiled plans to help it build a strong political institution for posterity.
It even announced plans to embark on a meet-the-people tour across the country, talk to members and seek ways of making a solidifying it’s support base at the grassroots.
Well, even as ODM startegize’s a number of people still don not have trust in it with many calling out Party leader Raila Odinga for running the Party like it’s some Private Property.
Raila is known to influence a lot of decisions in ODM. Time and again, it has been claimed that he handed over Party tickets to his close allies who were ready to “eat” with him and denied chances to those he considered not fit enough.
Well, to confirm Raila’s great influence in the Party, ODM has now confirmed that Raila is still very much involved in Party affairs and as such, he is always present in Party Meetings.
The Party has also confirmed that Mr. Odinga will not involve himself in Politics of 2022 as at now.
Little is still known of Whether Raila will contest for Presidency come 2022 with the Opposition Chief choosing to Keep silent on his bid.
Does the latest announcement by ODM mean that Mr. Odinga is taking a sabbatical leave from Politics? Only time will tell.
