AFC Leopards legend and under 20 coach Boniface Ambani has penned a piece of advice to the club urging them to think of bringing the quality players in the team in order to be able to compete effectively.
The big cats were handed a 3-1 beating in a Mashemeji Derby staged at Moi Kasarani. He thinks the side will need 20 top players.
He has advised the side to look the best scouts and stop have large squads that lack quality.
Am just saddened by events at Kasarani yesterday.
1: In Football for you to compete at the top level you have to get the best. The best. The best means you have to get top-notch players. Quality counts. Not quantity.
We need 20 top quality players. It can only be done when you have people(Club endowed scouts) who understand Football. People who can deeply analyze and critically get the right players. Signings must be done. Am tired of losing to Gor day in day out.
It’s better to have 25 well-paid players rather than having 33 players who can’t give you what you want. Why have a bloated side? How will a coach manage 33 players?
We have to win trophies. We need titles. League titles. You’ll only win the right frame. The elusive title. KPL. As an AFC Leopards fan, former player, Coach I feel the pain. A club is all about winning trophies with the well-structured club. Requires you and I to do this.
