Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has downplayed reports that his 2022 presidential ambitions are just hot aired sentiments insisting that he will be on the ballot and that he is confident that he will be Kenya’s 5th president.
Mutua said he is the most qualified individual to lead this country come 2022 and he is ready to take over from President Kenyatta. The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader said that some of the leaders who want to become Kenya’s 5th President are people who cannot be trusted by Kenyans.
The County boss was speaking on Friday morning when he joined senior nurses during their climax session of the International Nurses Week Celebrations at Taita Taveta University in Voi, Taita Taveta County.
He thanked the great people of the beautiful county of Taita Taveta led by their Deputy Governor Hon. Majala Mlagui, who represented Governor Granton Samboja in welcoming him. Mutua said he respects Nurses very much and he always feels astonished when he sees people not recognizing the difficult service that nurses undertake.
He assured them that time is coming when the leadership of this country will give them the respect they deserve. When he becomes president. He added that it is important that citizens recognize the sacrifice and conditions Kenyan workers have to endure in their quest for efficient service delivery
“We are always seen to concentrate more on political leaders and the rich in the society – little wonder we collectively suffer in many other aspects of our lives. I have reaffirmed to the nurses of my support and also highlighted to them what we have done for nurses in Machakos,” he said.
