Inside Sonko’s closed door meeting with World Bank officials

Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Friday morning met with officials from the World Bank in a meeting aimed at reviewing the progress of the Nairobi Metropolitan Services Improvement Project.

The project, according to governor Sonko is aimed at improving Nairobi’s rail and road network, boost trade by building markets as well as modernize disaster and emergency preparedness.

Sonko shared the details of the meeting via his twitter account.

“Earlier today, I held a meeting with World Bank officials to review progress of the Nairobi Metropolitan Services Improvement Project. NAMSIP is aimed at improving our rail & road network, boost trade by building markets as well as modernize disaster & emergency preparedness,” he tweeted.
