A season of Comebacks! The List Of Tottenham’s Miracles In The Champions League

It is safe to say This season had already delivered its fair share of Champions League dramas, but Tottenham served up another on Wednesday as they came from three goals behind in the second half away at Ajax to reach the final.

The winner came in the game’s 95th minute, as Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s side achieved the unthinkable and they booked their place in Madrid at the beginning of June, adding yet another miracle to their incredible campaign in Europe this season.

Harry Kane, who had 22 goals this season, raised the alarm in the first leg of their quarter-final with Manchester City, but Spurs haven’t missed him and have incredibly marched on.

Last summer, and in the winter, Spurs didn’t spend on reinforcements, and have still managed to fight their way to the final.

Fernando Llorente did it first as he won the tie against City and Lucas Moura followed in his footsteps by doing the same at Ajax, having only established himself in Kane‘s absence.

That night at the Etihad Stadium was drama-packed, and it looked as though Raheem Sterling had knocked them out with the last kick only for VAR to prove there had been an offside earlier in the move.

Three goals were needed in the second half to send Spurs through and, somehow, they got them.

It looked like their moment had passed and Ajax missed some chances to kill the game, but Lucas Moura delivered in the final minute.
